SOCIETAL SAFETY
Being safe is about embracing the full circle of safety activities covering pre-, during and post events. This involves risk management-, business continuity management (including crisis management responses) as well as incident / accident investigation to learn and improve on an continous basis.
The societal safety pertains not only on the organisational level but also embraces large social groups (e.g. controllers), their activities, culture, etc. Thus, safety risk management must ensure the capture of all these data and information. As such, safey risk management must be embraced throughout the organisation to encapsule individuals, projects, operation, organisational as well as trans-organisational activities.
Compliance of such processes must likewise be transparent and well-documented to ensure conformity from relevant authorities and regulators.
